A "Bombolom" is a musical instrument used in Africa. This instrument used to be a means to communicate between villages.
In 2003 I've started a project with a friend from Guiné-Bissau and we selected this name for the site which would host said project. Unfortunately this didn't pan out, however I've kept the domain for my self.
In 2004, I decided to start this little blog just to keep some notes about programming and system administration, mainly for personal use.
