This post shows how to configure Windows to open files and application with a single click instead of the double click defined by default.

Just follow the procedure:

• Go to the Control Panel and open "Folder Option".
• Select "General".
• Below where it says "click items as follows" choose the option single click to open an item (point to Select)
• Click OK and this feature is right away made available.

Windows also adds another feature that is the selection by pointing the mouse, i.e., when running the single click option if you place your mouse over a file or application it selects it. Of course, it only runs when you click it.

I used this procedure with Windows NT and I don't know if its valid for other Windows version.
